I’ve had a blast these past couple of weeks finding recipes and fixin’ dinner! I thought it be fun to share whats cooking in our kitchen with y’all!
Disclaimer: I found these recipes on Pinterest and have linked the websites for them. None of these pictures are my own and belong to the owners of the recipes.
This was my favorite dish of the week! However, I did make a few changes to it. I left out the chicken bouillon and the basil (totally forgot to pick them up at the store – but it still tasted amazing without them). Since I was basil-less, I decided to throw in half a bag of spinach at the end (before adding the pasta) and cooked it for about 2 minutes. I can’t wait to make this dish again – hopefully I’ll be using spinach AND basil next time! For the recipe, click “Margherita Pasta” above. It will take you to the recipe’s website.
These were nice and simple to make! I stuck them in the freezer so we can pull them out for lunch. Next time, I’m going to bake them in a square dish because they fell apart when I took them out of the muffin pan.
You might be seeing Garrett’s hamburgers on here quite often – we discovered two large patties are only $3.50 at the store! Garrett marinades the patties himself then throws them on a cask iron griddle to cook. Since we live in a small Boston apartment and do not own a grill, this griddle has been quite wonderful! Here is Garrett’s marinade:
- Worcester Sauce
- Lowry’s Seasoning Salt
- Garlic Powder
Anything that involves a crockpot has been my go to recipes recently! These were so easy to make. I served them with salsa and sour cream. Next time, I might turn them into enchiladas – just cause we love a good sauce!
I got to use my crockpot on this recipe too! To cook the chicken, I used Mix & Match Mama’s perfect chicken recipe. I made one alteration to the shells. In our fridge, we had half a jar of Tomato Basil Soup leftover so I decided to mix it with the Alfredo sauce. I personally just love pink sauce! Don’t forgot to click on “Chicken & Broccoli Alfredo Stuffed Shells” above for the linked recipe.
Even though we are working on cooking more often, we still like to treat ourselves! After a long week, we tried out Regina’s Pizzeria for dinner on Friday.
Then on Saturday, before we went to the Red Sox – Astros game at Fenway, we had brunch at Eastern Standard. And boy was it good! I had Cinnamon French Toast with maple bananas and Garrett got the scrambled egg dish. We will most definitely be back!
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
